Get Ready with Me: Playlist

I was really struggling to find something to do for this week's blog post. However, I came with this idea of making a 'Get Ready w/ Me' playlist that I have been really enjoying at the moment. There is this band in particular that I have been listening to for ages called Casual Attire.
The band is situated in Newbury, I have met the members of the band before as we used to go to the same school (just to let you know because I thought it was a cool fact). Also, I feel like their content is just amazing and you can see that they are truly passionate for what they have been doing. Now...let's get into the main purpose of this blog post.

As I can't talk much about music, I have made a playlist on my YouTube channel, which would make it easier for everybody to access. I have added all the songs that I have been listening to from the band.

I do listen to other artists but at the moment they are my favorite and with only this 4 songs I am able to get ready, and if you want to check them out, I will leave their links below so you can find then and contact them if you prefer.

Casual Attire
Facebook - Twitter - YouTube - iTunes - SoundCloud

If you are located in Newbury or any other parts of the UK and you are interested, they might have live shows coming soon. You can find any details and information in their Facebook page.

Thank you guys for reading. I hope you go and check them out and give them some extra love! Goodbye, see you next time.

What do you guys think of Casual Attire?  Leave me comments below telling me your opinions.

*I have asked permission for the use of videos and images.

L'Oreal Duo Nail Varnish- Review

Hello guys. I hope you have been having fun during this amazing time of the year. Anyways, recently I have partnered with a company called 'Toluna'. But don't worry if you haven't heard it from before I will leave the links for their social medias below so you can go and check it out. As they are situated in France they have kindly sent me some nail varnish from L'Oreal, for me to test it out. So here it is the review of the product.

This is the L'Oreal Color Riche Duo Manicure kit. Meaning is a kit to create French manicure but with a range of different colours not just the standard white and a base coat. This can be a little bit more out of people's comfort zones. The shades I have are 009 in 'Frosted Pearl' and 624 in 'Blue Lagoon'. They are amazing summery shades to wear at the moment and this specific shades are great to enhance your natural tan colour, without the use of a fake tanner.

They also have an awesome lasting power in which that is what we look for really in a nail varnish and it is also a buildable product which with three layers at least you will have your desired shade. However, one thing i was really worried about was the applicator brush because in one of them (Blue Lagoon) had an angled tip. I really don't know, why I was so worried, but I can tell you now that the tip was a life saver for me because you can have control over the lines being made and that is very important when it comes to French nails. Also, if you were wondering the other nail varnish has a standard tip. The nail varnish has a good finish with a nice amount of gloss with tiny shimmers to make it stand out a but more.

Again I am not sure if you can get this in a variety of different colours but I will check and link everything below. I also think that they have a very affordable price range, which anyway can buy so expand their nail polish collection. They are not out in the UK as a kit but I think you can get them on Amazon and Ebay.

Thanks for reading and please go and check the company's social medias it would mean a lot to me and to them for sure. I hope you enjoyed this and see you next time, with a brand new post for you guys. Goodbye.

Summer Essential Check List

Hello guys. Hope you all have had an amazing week. Sorry, I haven't been posting as regularly as I would like to but I have been busy with school work and exams. But I have some good news, I recently finished them, which means I have more time to write blog posts and upload them more frequently. As we all know summer is coming up which made me think that I can share with you guys some of my favourite summer essentials that I find out to be really useful during this hot, hot season.

1# Water /or any other beverages you may prefer
Yes I know this is a very stereotypical tip but it is true. You need to stay hydrated during summer otherwise it will lead to dehydration meaning you wouldn't be able to fully appreciate you holidays. Also water helps to improve your skin complexion as it moisturizes, keeps it fresh and smooth and I gets rid of wrinkles and loads more of good stuff. Go and get your water bottle out.

2#Fresh Air
Fresh air is very similar to 'water' in a way that has lots of benefits for you mind and body. Going out for just 10 minutes or even less can make someone instantly much happier. Fresh air also has the benefit of giving you more energy and helps to sharpen your mind and I can tell you you will be saving your money because I far as I know you won't be needing to pay for anything.

3# BB Creams
I will tell you that would not be a regular post if I didn't mention at least one beauty related product. I feel like for summer you don't need as much coverage as you may need during any other season and I know I am not that person that would spend at least 1 hour doing my make up. In summer we want everything to be lightweight and quick. The one product I would recommend would need to be the Garnier BB Cream for Normal Skin. This is the best BB cream I have ever tried, it moisturizes you skin without being greasy or oily at all and I gives you a really good coverage with only one layer but it is definitely a buildable product.

4# Body Moisturizers
Being able to show of your soft and great skin is one of the best things about summer. Having the best moisturizer during summer is just like having a high SPF sun-screen. Also, having the skin of your dreams will definitely boost up your confidence. I can guarantee that! Again the one I would suggest is the Garnier (again because I can't get enough of it) Intensive 7 days Body Lotion in mango and honey. This is the best moisturizer i have ever tried. This gives you that smooth finish with a great essence and and a fast absorbing power and you don't need to keep pilling it on every single day because I know, no one ever do that.

5# Lip Balms/Tinted Lip Balm
Cracked lips? No, make the change of having the best lips during summer because if you do have a boyfriend or partner you will for sure be kissing a lot and I don't think chopped lips are the way to go.  The best lip balms and tinted lip balms are difficult to find  especially when you are very picky on what you like. just like me. But good and affordable lip balms/tinted lip balms are the best in the drugstore. I like using the Baby Lips- lip balms in Hydrate and Baby Lips-Tinted lip balm in Cherry Me. You should probably try it if you haven't yet.

6# Heat-less Hairstyles
Non-heat hairstyles are the best way of keeping your hair looking good without damaging it because during summer you are already receiving to much heat from the Sun. So...you don't want to add more on top of it. Wave Creating Sprays and Salt Sprays are a good way of making your hair look AMAZING without putting on to much effort or time. I think the L'Oreal Studio Line offers a good choice of hair products to great amazing looks. Also the VO5 Line and the Tresemme Lines are great.

7# Whiter Teeth
Having good white teeth during summer is the best. Lots of photos and videos will be taken so you want to look good, not just in your body shape. There isn't much to say on this section but that is definitely an essential if you are the kind of person that enjoys having that nice white smile because I certainly love that. There are millions of products in the market right now for whitening teeth but one I seemed to enjoy is the Pearl Drops Beauty Sleep serum, which you put on at night and wake up in the morning with a fresh new smile. But different people like different products so share them with me below.

That is it guys. I hope you have enjoyed knowing what are my summer essentials because these types of posts and videos during this time of the year are the best due to the reason that is the time I get to try new products without being so worried about the results I might get after. Please follow this blog if you want to see more posts similar to that or completely different you chose. Recently I created a Facebook page which allow you guys to maintain contacted with me at all times and find out when I post on my blog but I will leave all the links for my social medias below. Thanks for reading and again I hoped you enjoyed this. Goodbye and until next time.

Style Snippet 30.05.14- Newbury Edition

So... As I was in town I decided to do a 'Style Snippet' for this month because I thought my outfit looked alright. But you are going to see it soon so keep reading this blog post. This will all be based around the area I live in. However, if you guys enjoy this please comment below if you would like me to do this more often. After all the this introduction let's get into the main part of this post!

I am wearing:
Blouse- Matalan, Trousers- New Look,
Jacket- New Look, Shoes- H&M, Bag- Topshop

So I kept my outfit really simple today, as I was going to be meeting my friend so catch up on some news and gossip about our boring lives. Also I knew we were going to walk quite a bit so I decided to wear something comfortable and casual, which would enable me to do anything I wanted. While my makeup was also very simple and casual. For my eyes I had done a brown smokey eye with my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade on and on bronze and in the inner corners I have added a sparkly champagne colour, to make more day time appropriate. For my lips I was using the MUA lipstick in Shade 16 and a H&M lipgloss on top of it.

On my nails I used an Avon Nailwear pro+ in the shade Serene. Fun fact- that was my first ever nail polish I have ever bought for myself and that was 2 years ago. But I love it to death and it has a lot of sentimental values for me now, so I cannot get rid of it.

Overall guys, there isn't much to say on this blog post as it is more about what I was wearing on that day. Again if you want me to do this more often please comment and/or share this post so I will know who wants to see more of them. Have a great week and see you next time.

Top 3 Tips for Prom

Hello guys. Hope you all have had an amazing Easter full of happiness and chocolates, not only you but your entire family as well! As Prom days are reaching, I have decided to do a blog post on 'Top 3 Tips for Prom', which I know there isn't many of these around blogs. Also I know it is hard to make everything perfect, but oh well we are human beings and sometimes we just can't help it! So let's get started on the main purpose of this blog post.

1# You should feel comfortable

You should purchase a dress that you feel comfortable and glamorous at the same time. Try to go for things that you like instead of things your friends are telling you about. Sometimes it is better to stick to our own instincts because you are the only one who knows your true style.

2# Less is more

Remember 'less is more', so go subtle with your make up and jewelry. Proms are normally during spring and summer so try following the trends accordingly to your style. Make up wise I can only recommend to go for neutral shades, as you can be glamorous but sometimes you can get an edgy look with it. If your dress have a lot of sparkle, try going for plain accessories, to match but not distract from the dress itself.

3# Stay true to yourself

One of the best tips I can ever give you is just to be yourself. There is nothing worse than pretending being someone you're not. It doesn't matter how you show it either on the dance floor through your sick dance moves or on how you look (make up, dress etc) just leave your worries behind and have fun with your friends because that is what Prom is all about!

So that is it guys. Just some tips to have a perfect Prom and if you follow these steps you will achieve the night of your life! If you would like me to do more blog posts on a Prom Edition, please feel free to leave comments below telling me what you guys would like to see. Thank you all for reading and have a great week!!

Everyday School Make Up- Spring Edition

Hello guys, hope you all are having a great spring and Easter. I do apologize for the lack of posts lately I will try to make up for it. But anyway, today I will be sharing with you my make up routine in the morning before I go to school. So let's get started!

To get started I will go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. After I have finished this, I will put on some moisturizer because it is important to stay hydrated, especially when you are going to out all day. When the moisturizer has been absorbed into my skin I will start of with putting some concealer around my face to cover up any imperfection such as: discoloration or blemishes using the Natural Collection CoverUp Cream concealer then I will blend it. I will normally go to school with just some concealer if I am having a good skin day, just so it gives me a bit of coverage and confidence. However, if I do have any break outs or bigger blemishes I will go over the top with some foundation. I use the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation this gives me a medium coverage and it makes me look a bit more alive! As like any teenager we don't always have that awesome skin like in movies.

When the base is done I will go over with some blush or bronzer depending how I look like. I normally use the MUA blush in 'Lolly' or the MUA bronzer in 'Shade 3', which just put some colours back into my face. When all of the face products are finished I move onto the eyes, which I only put on some mascara, liquid eyeliner and I will do my brows. The products I use are; Seventeen Precision Eyeliner Pen, Natural Collection LashBuild Mascara and the Maybelline Master Precise Brow Pencil.

The last thing I do is to moisturize my lips because they tend to be very dry in every single season and I use the Baby Lips in 'Hydrate', which is my favourite lip balm from their entire collection.

So that's it guys. I don't put a lot of make up on due to the reason I like my make up to look as natural as possible and at my school we are not allowed as much make up. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this post and I would like you guys to go and check my friends blogs because they are pretty amazing and they would absolutely love the support! Thanks and see you next time and have an amazing Easter.

TopShop Fashion Show

Hello my people! This is a colaborative post with my friend Loren Kerry (A.K.A. http://lovewriteandphotograph.blogspot.co.uk please check out her blog to!) about the 'TopShop Fashion Show'. Well, we all know what happens during a fashion show, lots of a list celebrities turn up looking their best, and they watch beautiful models walk down a catwalk wearing extravagant pieces of clothing.

At this years TopShop fashion show during London fashion week, it was some of the same. This year the show took place at Tate Moderns Turbine Hall, and there was a large turnout. All of the clothing was colour coordinated and the colours were widely spread.

This picture of these 3 girls, are showing off the new line of coats, one full fur, one half fur and the other with no fur (right to left). Personally, I think that fur is a large concern for debate in the fashion world, whether its real or not and I don't really think its practical, (not for this weather), but it looks very nice and is most probably very warm.

A lot of the fashion for this event was made particularly for the weather, the cold winters, so the main theme was layers and simple colours, such as black, beige and blue. There were a lot of long clothes to, to keep you warm all the way down to your ankles. The jumpers and the coats, are all embelished with very intricate designs, to make the practical more pretty. They have also taken thicker fabrics for the jackets and layered them over dresses, to make them more inovative and fresh for the new scene.

Many of the coats and jackets are oversized, not just because the models are really small but because the aim was to make clothes specifically for winter and also to be fashion foward. The blue and green coats bring a younger and fresher feel to the event whilst the blacks bring a more mature and sophisticated feel.

The blue brings a bit of colour with it in this show, as the accessories and embelishments where the aim, the blue gives a new platform for the accesories to work of. The over sized coats bring a lazy essence to the show and the pinafore dress brings a young and more modern feel to the show. The last picture in the second column personally has to be my favorite outfit of the show, the use of layering with the large coat works really well together.

The beiges and the greens bring colour to the dismal winter colours. They remind us that spring is not that far away. The bold prints and the different layers or colours bring a youthful feel to the outfits. The blacks and the embelishments add sophisication and maturity to the outfits. The bright accesories add flare and style to the outfits.

This years fashion show for TopShop I think has been a sucess, I hope you agree with me and don't forget to read here, for top tips and news. Thank you! See you all next time!

March Favourites

Hello guys, hope you all are having an amazing time. So yeah I know this post is a tiny little bit late, and I do apologize but I've been quite busy with school work and work in general. Hope you guys can forgive me. But anyways this month I haven't been trying out new things. However, I started using products I had but stopped using them for some reason. This is my first ever favourites post but tell me if there are any specific things you people would like me to try.

Starting with fragrances I have been loving 'Daisy' by Mark Jacobs. As this blog progresses you will know that my favoutite flowers are daisies because they just smell nice and fresh and it is also very, very girly. However, if it wasn't for my friend I would never have tried this perfume but now that I have done it I am in love with, and you guys should try it!

Going into skincare now, I always find it really hard to find the perfect product that will do the job. However, some time ago I've purchased the Clean and Clear Exfoliating Daily wash, which for some reason I stopped using it. Such a shame! But recently I've gotten back on track on using this product. The only thing I would complain about it it can be a bit rough in you skin but apart from that this product will always be incorporated on my skincare routine. Also from Clean and Clear I am using the Blackhead Clearing Cleanser, which for me is just like a make up remover, but not for the eyes. It does a two jobs in one go, meaning it saves me time in the morning and afternoon. Sticking to skincare, at the moment I've been using the Avon Clear Skin- Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask. This is just goodness on your face. A lot of bloggers that review this product tend to compare this to the Origins Mineral Mask,I have never tried it but if is anything that this product I will certainly buy it!

Make up wise I've been loving only one product from Maybelline which is the 'Colour Tattoo 24HR'. This product is the best cream eyeshadow I have ever tried.I have the colour 'on and on bronze', which is an amazing bronze colour that can be worn anytime of the day. You could also create a kind of a smokey eye effect with it, which you don't normally see that on cream shadows. So yeah,i would definitely recommend this product!

So that is it guys! I know this is one of the shortest posts that I have done but I seriously haven't been trying anything new and exciting, but I try to go shopping this month and see if I can find anything cool to try it out!! Thanks for reading guys, that means a lot to me, and I will be starting a YouTube Channel soon so stay tuned to see what is going to happen...Have an amazing Easter and I will see whether I can make another post just before Easter on some DIY  ideas. Bye have a great week!!

Mini Shopping Spree

Hello guys! Hope you are having a great time and ecxited for spring, which I can garantee you I am more happy about it than last year. So let's get into the good things about this blog post! Last week I decided I needed a bronzer to complement my skin with the foundation I am using at the moment because it make me look SO pale.

Let me tell you a little secret.... I am really scared of using bronzers due to that everytime I tried applying it looked awful and un natural. However, I was at the MUA counter and I found a bronzer which really suited me because it did not make me look too brown or too light. It was the perfect shade.

The MUA bronzer I got is in 'Shade 3', which was the lightest colour I could find without any sort of glitter or shimmer. I paid only £1 which is a complete bargain for the quantity and quality of the bronzer. I've been using this product ever since I got it , and to be honest I have nothing to complain about. Also the bronzer it is buildable, which allows you to get to your desired shade. But I will keep you guys posted on what are my thoughts on this product.

While I was in the MUA counter, I started looking for a blusher and I found once again a blusher for only £1. The blusher I got is in 'Lolly', which is this really pretty shimmery pink colour. I purchased this shade because the other ones where darker and I thought this one would sit nicely onto my skin and it was the perfect spring shade. I haven't been using it regularly so I can't give you a complete idea of this product. However, so far so good!

So after being at Superdrug, I decided to go and have a look at Boots for some new products. However, I haven't found any make up products that I was really interested in. I went to look around the shop and I came across the Soap & Glory counter and only one product really caught my eye and it was the 'Soap & Glory Mist You Madly' body mist. This thing smell just amazing. I payed only £3.50 and if you have this in any store near you go and have a little sniff. You won't regret it! The floral fragrance just makes you more ecxited for spring and summer. Also this product stay in your skin the whole day. At least it did for me.

So guys this is it for this blog post. I know it wasn't much but lately there aren't many products that really caught my eye. But I will be coming with more post about spring and summer soon. Stay tuned!! Thanks for reading and hopefully you will follow this blog. See you later, until the next post.

Drugstore Make up Starter Kit

Hi guys! Hope you are all well and that you had an amazing February. This post will be about the make up products that I would recommend to anyone if they ask me to start of their make up kit. I will also be including some tools that I really think is good and affordable from the drugstore.

Face Primer:
It is used to prep the skin for foundation. It fill lines and pores, creates silky smooth canvas, and it makes your make up last much longer. Some primers also have benefits such as: hydration, luminizing and mattifying.

Revlon Photoready- £11.99

Foundation:
It evens out your skin tone and it gives better coverage than powder. People who need a lot of overage for their redness, acne scars or discoloration tend to go towards liquid or cream foundation. NOTE that if you have flawless skin use a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream for a light coverage.

Rimmel Match Perfection- £8.99

Concealer:
This is used for spot treatment. If foundation does not cover up something, you would go over it with a concealer. Concealer is thicker than foundation therefore it cover up blemishes better. However, don't put concealer all over the face- only on problem areas if it is needed. Remember sometimes concealer can cake it up because of its texture.

Maybelline Fit me- £6.99

Powder:
This has two purposes. It can either be used as a lighter cover up, for people who want  to lightly even out their skin tone. It can also be used to set your foundation. For example, foundation can either be liquid or cream and it tends to melt off the skin so powder is a good option to set everything in place and make your skin less oily/shiny.

Rimmel Stay Matte- £3.99

Bronzer:
If it is used the right way you can contour and reshape your face. Bronzer it is also used to give skin depth and life if you put onto the forehead, bridge of your nose, apples of the cheeks and jaw line. If placed on those areas, will also give the skin a healthy sun kissed look without the use of self tanners that can make people look weird. With bronzer less, is more!

Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer- £6.99

Blush:
It is used to add a healthy flushed look to the face. Normally, it's only put onto the apples of your cheeks but if you add a bit of blush onto your forehead, chin and nose, it can add a very healthy flushed look to your whole face.

 Revlon Photoready cream blush- £7.99

Eye shadow:
Eye shadow can be applied in a wide variety of ways depending upon the desired look and formulation. This can be applied with clean fingers or brushes. However, the most important aspect of applying eye shadow, and make up in general, is blending it very well, so there are no harsh lines which can look awful!

MUA eyeshadow pallete- £4

Eye liners/Eyebrows:
Eye liner is used to define the eyes. It is applied around the contours of the eye to create a variety of aesthetic illusions. Brow products are used to help fill in your brows and define them according to your face shape. You can use powder or pencils to create subtle look.

Maybelline Master Shape brow pencil- £2.99
Rimmel Khol Kajal- £4.99

Mascara:
Commonly used to enhance the eyes. They also have the benefit of darkening, lengthening and defining the eyelashes.

Maybelline Rocket Mascara- £7.99

Lips:
Lip products are used primarily to give the lips a glossy lustre, and sometimes to add a subtle colour or to even moisturize (lip balm will be your best friend). Lip products can have different finishes such as: frosted, glossy, glittered and metallic.

Burts Bee Lip Balm- £3.99

Brushes:
It helps to give a flawless finish and it is much easier to work with. However, you could also used your fingers or beauty blenders which are definitely cheaper and a quicker method to apply make up with.

Introduction of the Blog

Hi guys. Hope you all are having an excellent day! So let's get started with all the good stuff. This post will only be an introduction about the blog that is about the be born.

Firstly, the most important thing, content. In this blog, the topic will be based around in fashion, beauty, food, DIY and of course, some of your suggestions. So please, leave comments below telling me what posts you people would like to see, don't be scared, your ideas will be more than welcome in this blog.
Furthermore, concerning the times and dates will depend if I am too busy within the week because if you didn't know I am still at school, which occupies most of my time. However, I will try my best to publish something every week or a few times during the month. So please don't worry.

Now let's talk a little bit about me. So you people can get to know me better and I can get to know you guys better as well (leave  comment below telling about yourself). As you all know my name is 'Maria Gurtinski'. And NO! I am not Polish. People, most of the time assume that I am. But anyways let's continue. I am Brazilian (if anyone is wondering) but I live in the UK for nearly 4 years, which for me is a very, very long time. I still live with my parents and to be honest I think I am going to stick beside them for a long time. I am 16  years-old, which you guys will now think, what is wrong with me for starting a blog at this age....but well, I chose to do so because is something I have been wanting to do since I was 15 but  I never had the courage to do so.

Anyway I think I am probably boring you people with my life but OH WELL. I think now is your turn to share bits and pieces about your life with me so please do because I really want to get to know you all. True story!

Thank you! Goodbye, hope you will have a great week and see you next time.
