TopShop Fashion Show

Hello my people! This is a colaborative post with my friend Loren Kerry (A.K.A. http://lovewriteandphotograph.blogspot.co.uk please check out her blog to!) about the 'TopShop Fashion Show'. Well, we all know what happens during a fashion show, lots of a list celebrities turn up looking their best, and they watch beautiful models walk down a catwalk wearing extravagant pieces of clothing.

At this years TopShop fashion show during London fashion week, it was some of the same. This year the show took place at Tate Moderns Turbine Hall, and there was a large turnout. All of the clothing was colour coordinated and the colours were widely spread.

This picture of these 3 girls, are showing off the new line of coats, one full fur, one half fur and the other with no fur (right to left). Personally, I think that fur is a large concern for debate in the fashion world, whether its real or not and I don't really think its practical, (not for this weather), but it looks very nice and is most probably very warm.

A lot of the fashion for this event was made particularly for the weather, the cold winters, so the main theme was layers and simple colours, such as black, beige and blue. There were a lot of long clothes to, to keep you warm all the way down to your ankles. The jumpers and the coats, are all embelished with very intricate designs, to make the practical more pretty. They have also taken thicker fabrics for the jackets and layered them over dresses, to make them more inovative and fresh for the new scene.

Many of the coats and jackets are oversized, not just because the models are really small but because the aim was to make clothes specifically for winter and also to be fashion foward. The blue and green coats bring a younger and fresher feel to the event whilst the blacks bring a more mature and sophisticated feel.

The blue brings a bit of colour with it in this show, as the accessories and embelishments where the aim, the blue gives a new platform for the accesories to work of. The over sized coats bring a lazy essence to the show and the pinafore dress brings a young and more modern feel to the show. The last picture in the second column personally has to be my favorite outfit of the show, the use of layering with the large coat works really well together.

The beiges and the greens bring colour to the dismal winter colours. They remind us that spring is not that far away. The bold prints and the different layers or colours bring a youthful feel to the outfits. The blacks and the embelishments add sophisication and maturity to the outfits. The bright accesories add flare and style to the outfits.

This years fashion show for TopShop I think has been a sucess, I hope you agree with me and don't forget to read here, for top tips and news. Thank you! See you all next time!
