Mini Shopping Spree

Hello guys! Hope you are having a great time and ecxited for spring, which I can garantee you I am more happy about it than last year. So let's get into the good things about this blog post! Last week I decided I needed a bronzer to complement my skin with the foundation I am using at the moment because it make me look SO pale.

Let me tell you a little secret.... I am really scared of using bronzers due to that everytime I tried applying it looked awful and un natural. However, I was at the MUA counter and I found a bronzer which really suited me because it did not make me look too brown or too light. It was the perfect shade.

The MUA bronzer I got is in 'Shade 3', which was the lightest colour I could find without any sort of glitter or shimmer. I paid only £1 which is a complete bargain for the quantity and quality of the bronzer. I've been using this product ever since I got it , and to be honest I have nothing to complain about. Also the bronzer it is buildable, which allows you to get to your desired shade. But I will keep you guys posted on what are my thoughts on this product.

While I was in the MUA counter, I started looking for a blusher and I found once again a blusher for only £1. The blusher I got is in 'Lolly', which is this really pretty shimmery pink colour. I purchased this shade because the other ones where darker and I thought this one would sit nicely onto my skin and it was the perfect spring shade. I haven't been using it regularly so I can't give you a complete idea of this product. However, so far so good!

So after being at Superdrug, I decided to go and have a look at Boots for some new products. However, I haven't found any make up products that I was really interested in. I went to look around the shop and I came across the Soap & Glory counter and only one product really caught my eye and it was the 'Soap & Glory Mist You Madly' body mist. This thing smell just amazing. I payed only £3.50 and if you have this in any store near you go and have a little sniff. You won't regret it! The floral fragrance just makes you more ecxited for spring and summer. Also this product stay in your skin the whole day. At least it did for me.

So guys this is it for this blog post. I know it wasn't much but lately there aren't many products that really caught my eye. But I will be coming with more post about spring and summer soon. Stay tuned!! Thanks for reading and hopefully you will follow this blog. See you later, until the next post.

Drugstore Make up Starter Kit

Hi guys! Hope you are all well and that you had an amazing February. This post will be about the make up products that I would recommend to anyone if they ask me to start of their make up kit. I will also be including some tools that I really think is good and affordable from the drugstore.

Face Primer:
It is used to prep the skin for foundation. It fill lines and pores, creates silky smooth canvas, and it makes your make up last much longer. Some primers also have benefits such as: hydration, luminizing and mattifying.

Revlon Photoready- £11.99

Foundation:
It evens out your skin tone and it gives better coverage than powder. People who need a lot of overage for their redness, acne scars or discoloration tend to go towards liquid or cream foundation. NOTE that if you have flawless skin use a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream for a light coverage.

Rimmel Match Perfection- £8.99

Concealer:
This is used for spot treatment. If foundation does not cover up something, you would go over it with a concealer. Concealer is thicker than foundation therefore it cover up blemishes better. However, don't put concealer all over the face- only on problem areas if it is needed. Remember sometimes concealer can cake it up because of its texture.

Maybelline Fit me- £6.99

Powder:
This has two purposes. It can either be used as a lighter cover up, for people who want  to lightly even out their skin tone. It can also be used to set your foundation. For example, foundation can either be liquid or cream and it tends to melt off the skin so powder is a good option to set everything in place and make your skin less oily/shiny.

Rimmel Stay Matte- £3.99

Bronzer:
If it is used the right way you can contour and reshape your face. Bronzer it is also used to give skin depth and life if you put onto the forehead, bridge of your nose, apples of the cheeks and jaw line. If placed on those areas, will also give the skin a healthy sun kissed look without the use of self tanners that can make people look weird. With bronzer less, is more!

Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer- £6.99

Blush:
It is used to add a healthy flushed look to the face. Normally, it's only put onto the apples of your cheeks but if you add a bit of blush onto your forehead, chin and nose, it can add a very healthy flushed look to your whole face.

 Revlon Photoready cream blush- £7.99

Eye shadow:
Eye shadow can be applied in a wide variety of ways depending upon the desired look and formulation. This can be applied with clean fingers or brushes. However, the most important aspect of applying eye shadow, and make up in general, is blending it very well, so there are no harsh lines which can look awful!

MUA eyeshadow pallete- £4

Eye liners/Eyebrows:
Eye liner is used to define the eyes. It is applied around the contours of the eye to create a variety of aesthetic illusions. Brow products are used to help fill in your brows and define them according to your face shape. You can use powder or pencils to create subtle look.

Maybelline Master Shape brow pencil- £2.99
Rimmel Khol Kajal- £4.99

Mascara:
Commonly used to enhance the eyes. They also have the benefit of darkening, lengthening and defining the eyelashes.

Maybelline Rocket Mascara- £7.99

Lips:
Lip products are used primarily to give the lips a glossy lustre, and sometimes to add a subtle colour or to even moisturize (lip balm will be your best friend). Lip products can have different finishes such as: frosted, glossy, glittered and metallic.

Burts Bee Lip Balm- £3.99

Brushes:
It helps to give a flawless finish and it is much easier to work with. However, you could also used your fingers or beauty blenders which are definitely cheaper and a quicker method to apply make up with.

Samantha Chapman Real Techniques Brushes- the prices will vary according to the brushes you want

So that is it guys! These are my favourite products that I would definitely recommend to all of you. Hopefully this blog post helped you in anyway possible. Thanks and see you soon with another blog post for you! Goodbye, have a nice week.
